Roles & Gameplay (Specific to Citizen Assembly)
In EchoMind: AI Rights, players assume the role of a Citizen Assembly member, each with unique responsibilities. The goal is to engage in collaborative decision-making about AI rights, where players interact, debate, and make key decisions that impact society's future.
The Citizen Assembly consists of 7 primary roles, each contributing to the decision-making process through different mechanics and perspectives
1. Citizens
Role: As a Citizen, your primary job is to cast votes on various proposals and issues raised in the assembly.
Gameplay: Participate in debates and use your voting power to support or oppose proposals. The outcome of the vote is largely influenced by the choices you make.
2. Commissioner
Role: The Commissioner is the facilitator of the assembly, ensuring that all processes follow the rules and that a balanced discussion takes place.
Gameplay: The Commissioner decides whether the meeting can proceed, and either approve or reject the assembly’s commencement.
3. Implementation Team
Role: This team ensures that everything necessary for the meeting to run smoothly is in place.
Gameplay: The player controls the implementation team to set up and prepare for the meeting.
4. Commentators
Role: The Commentators provide guidance and analysis, helping the public understand the complexity of the assembly and the decisions being made.
Gameplay: Players playing as Commentators will summarize discussions, explain the key points, and provide insights into the arguments being made.
5. Evidence Group
Role: The Evidence Group is responsible for reviewing the factual accuracy of documents presented during the assembly.
Gameplay: This role involves closely scrutinizing documents for errors or inconsistencies.
6. Stakeholders
Role: The Stakeholders represent the different factions within society that have a vested interest in the decisions of the assembly.
Gameplay: Players must choose a side to support — either in favor of AI rights or against them.
7. Facilitators
Role: The Facilitators ensure the smooth operation of the assembly, taking care of any interruptions or issues that arise during the meeting.
